Then came home from a weekend out of town to find this artistic reinterpretation!
It must have been one heck of a squirrel party! The plants are safely back in a holding pot while I look for a sturdy successor. Meanwhile, the graceful arch is now trying to protect my ice plant. It could work. Apparently luscious plants like begonias and my ice plant are most delicious and often served at squirrel parties. Sigh.
